The Vegas dayclub season
The Vegas pool season officially runs March through late October, though the biggest months are April-September when weekend day-parties peak.
- Opening weekend (usually late March/early April) - venues do "grand opening" events with headline DJs, tickets sell out
- May, June, July - peak season. Every weekend at every major venue.
- August - hottest month (avg 40°C daytime). Some UK groups love it, some struggle. Venues still full.
- September - still warm, crowds slightly lighter, prices slightly better value
- October - starts winding down after the first two weekends. Nightswim events move indoor at the Strip clubs.
- November-February - outdoor pool season closed at most venues. Marquee Dayclub adds a heated dome for the winter months (usually), making it the closest thing to a year-round Strip dayclub.
Most pool clubs run weekend-only (Fri, Sat, Sun) during shoulder season and Thursday-Sunday in peak summer. Weekdays outside peak season the pools are just hotel pools - quiet, sunbathing.
The A-tier dayclubs
The A-tier dayclubs UK groups should know - these are the four we work as our flagship dayclub inventory:
- LIV Beach at Fontainebleau - Vegas's newest top-tier dayclub, the daytime counterpart to LIV nightclub. Huge stage, biggest weekend DJ bookings on the north Strip, contemporary lineups. Saturday is peak. Book a cabana - crowd density around the DJ booth is high, and the good sightlines are all reserved. Best of the current north-Strip dayclub inventory for a stag or milestone group.
- OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars Palace - the daytime sibling to OMNIA nightclub. Multi-level pool venue, strong resident DJs, and reliably one of the more energetic Sunday scenes on the Strip. Solid choice for a group that wants OMNIA branding across both nights and days. Cabana pricing sits slightly below LIV Beach for equivalent tier.
- Palm Tree Beach Club at Resorts World - operated by the Palm Tree Music Festival team. Tropical-house styling, deep-melodic-house-forward lineups (Kygo, Diplo, and the Palm Tree residents rotating through). Ideal for a hen or milestone group who want proper dayclub energy without the harder EDM crowd. One of the newer additions to the roster and consistently the friendliest door of the four.
- Tao Beach at The Venetian / Palazzo - the reopened Tao dayclub with a redesigned amphitheatre pool. Attached to Tao restaurant/nightclub, so a full evening at Tao proper is the natural pairing. Sunday tends to be best. Suits a couples or milestone group who want a slightly older crowd than LIV Beach and a shorter walk to dinner afterwards.
Two other venues worth noting even though they sit outside our core A-tier:
- Encore Beach Club (EBC) at Encore/Wynn - the largest and most-photographed dayclub on the Strip and still a major destination for big-DJ Saturdays. Legit scene; sit slightly outside our core routing but is fine as an alternate.
- Marquee Dayclub at Cosmopolitan - solid mid-Strip dayclub with a diverse crowd. Marquee usually adds a heated dome for the winter months, making it one of the few Vegas dayclubs that operates year-round - useful for a January/February trip when the outdoor venues are shut.
What it actually costs
Entry-only (general admission): - Men: $60-100 depending on the DJ + day + venue - Women: $30-60 (sometimes waived pre-noon or during off-season)
Table / cabana pricing - minimum spend on drinks/bottles: - Daybed (2-4 people): $500-1,500 minimum - Second-tier cabana (6-8 people): $1,500-4,000 - Prime cabana (8-12 people): $4,000-10,000 - Bungalow with private pool (EBC Big Daddy, similar): $10,000-30,000+
Add: - 15% venue gratuity (auto) - 8.375% sales tax on top
A $2,000 cabana is a $2,500 real total. Group of 8 splits → ~$310/head all-in. Cheaper than a nightclub table because bottles are consumed slower during the day.
Dress code - yes there is one
Pool clubs enforce a swimwear-with-cover-up dress code at entry.
- Swimwear required for pool access. Bring proper swim gear.
- Cover-up required for entry - sarong for women, board shorts + tee for men. Take it off at the pool.
- Sunglasses expected (functional, not just fashion - the sun is genuinely bright)
- Sandals or slides OK (unlike nightclubs where they're refused)
- Hats OK at pool clubs (unlike nightclubs)
- No shirts required for men at pool - but expected at entry
- No obviously offensive slogans, no gym gear, no denim
Stag/hen accessories: dayclubs are more forgiving than nightclubs. Matching outfits, sashes, veils all welcome at Encore Beach Club and Marquee Dayclub. Themed group outfits (all-white, all-pink) actively rewarded by staff - free bottle for a group photo happens.
What to bring
- Sunscreen - factor 30+. Vegas sun is brutal. Reapply hourly. Groups who skip this fry by 3pm.
- Water bottle - refill stations inside. Alcohol + sun + no water = medical incident by 5pm.
- Cash - for cabana staff tips and any pool-side vendors
- Portable phone charger - the day is long and outlets scarce
- Real sandals you don't mind losing - theft from lockers happens
- Simple watch - check-your-phone-every-30-seconds isn't sustainable
Don't bring first aid. Vegas dayclubs enforce no-outside-medication rules strictly - plasters, paracetamol, Tylenol, Immodium, ibuprofen, all confiscated at the gate, no exceptions. If you need something for the day, take it in your room before you leave and pick up a small stash on the walk back at CVS/Walgreens.
Don't bring: outside alcohol (confiscated), professional cameras, drones, any outside medication including Tylenol/paracetamol/plasters. Standard security.
How to book (as a UK group)
Three routes:
- Direct via the venue website - Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub etc all sell tickets and reserve tables direct. Cabana / bungalow reservations require phone or email negotiation.
- Via a Vegas concierge (us) - makes sense for tables/cabanas at A-tier venues, especially on peak weekends. Concierge relationships get you tables that are "sold out" on the public site.
- Via a promoter - cheapest route to general admission tickets, most transparent. Skip promoters who won't quote sticker prices.
When to book: - Saturday peak dates (Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend, Labor Day weekend): book by January-February - Standard peak season Saturday: 6-8 weeks out - Sunday brunch at EBC: 4-6 weeks out - Off-peak weekends: 2-3 weeks fine
Same-week bookings can work for daybeds but not for prime cabanas or bungalows.
